It’s Friday

and I. am. T.I.R.E.D.

Looking at these pictures makes me feel more tired.

This is the last bit of carpet that needs to come out, and floors laid down…

Floors need to be put down in this school room:

And even now, as I was getting ready to make this a whine-away post, I am being prompted by the Lord to examine the reason why I’m feeling T.I.R.E.D.

So now, I have to make a confession.

I am feeling tired, because I’ve had all my priorities messed up this week. I have been doing everything on my own strength. From the moment my feet hit the ground to the time my head hit the pillow. I have not spent time in the Word, I have forgotten Isaiah 40:31, Psalm 46, Philippians 4:13, to name but a few.

Pity party cut short. Smack on the side of the head.

No, just kidding. Thankfully, the God that I serve is a loving, merciful, and gentle One. John Newton got it right when he penned “Amazing Grace”:

Amazing Grace, how sweet the sound,
That saved a wretch like me.
I once was lost, but now am found,
Was blind, but now I see.

So very true indeed….

And now, to end this all-over-the-place-post, I thought you’d like to know the upside to all this work we’ve been doing around the house.  Ready?

I discovered last night that my muscles on my upper arms are…how shall I put it…more defined, toned?! Not so jiggly?! hahaha.  OK, maybe not as newsworthy as Mrs. Obama’s. 🙂 The family had a good laugh as I flexed my arms to show off.

Alrighty then.  Now that I’ve embarrassed myself.  You all have a great weekend.
