Conversation between Moose (3 years old) and Big Boy (5 years old) during lunch:
Moose (stirring some Thai green curry in a bowl): See this? It’s good. And it’s SPICY. You want some?
Big Boy: No. I want bread and jam.
Moose: I like it. It’s spicy. It’s good. I ate it just now. It’s spicy. Mummy laughed at me.
Big Boy: I just want bread and jam.
Moose: Mummy, can I have some more please? There’s chicken in here. I want some chicken. With rice.
Me: Are you sure?
Moose: Yes. With chicken.
(I get him a small bowl and serve it to him at the table)
Moose (smiling & climbing into his booster seat): Yum.
Before his bum hits the seat, he exclaims: I need some water.
Me: Alright, go get some then.
Moose (returning to his seat with water): See, Big Boy, you need some water with it. You eat it, then you drink some water. You have to work on it, K?
Hahaha. My 3-year-old is trying to convince his older brother to eat curry.
